Jupiter is the largest planet of our solar system. He is the advisor or teacher to the Devas. Given its weight, Jupiter has a tendency to expand everything in our life including body weight, speech, financial worth, family and progeny. It is the planet of optimism, knowledge, education, good fortune, long distance journeys, wealth, wisdom and general growth in all walks of life. It can bestow name, fame and honor if favorably placed. Vocations connected to Jupiter include higher education, professors, banking and financial services, legal matters and law, philosophy, faith, religion and religious preaching, philosophy, government advisory and ministers.
When Jupiter is conjunct any planet, it obviously influences the behavior of the other planet and being the most optimistic of the lot, it will always try and bring out the best in the planets it is conjunct with. Likewise, Jupiter itself will tend to absorb certain qualities of the other planets it is conjunct with.
For example, the conjunction of Jupiter and Sun can impart the native with a lot of wisdom, spirituality, knowledge, and intellect and bless the native with power and wealth combining the energy of Sun and the expansive nature of Jupiter. Such individuals can make for great CEO’s, administrators and excel in fields connected to public life. But when the same Jupiter gets too close to the Sun (<11°), it makes the native boastful and proud of himself especially with regards to his knowledge and talents. In the process, he loses sight of the goal leading to unfavorable outcomes. His ability to judge situations, people and places also get compromised. Mars and Jupiter are the best of friends and like good buddies try and help and fortify one another. Mars sees Jupiter as a guide and a guru while the latter turns to the former for leadership. Remember, Mars functions as a captain of the navagrahas. The conjunction of Mars and Jupiter in a native’s horoscope makes him the mayor of a town or a high-ranking minister in the government. He receives money and patronage from the king. Native will be renowned for his knowledge of shastras and astras. He will be proficient in the vedas and mathematics but will also be over-sexed. He will also be skilled in arts and crafts. Such a native will be intelligent, strong, courteous, be blessed with sons and long lived.
1st House:
Native is an enthusiastic individual full of energy. He will have many admirable qualities and will earn fame in the religious field. He will become a minister to the king or occupy an equally eminent post.

3rd House:

4th House:
Native will be a determined and persistent individual and will lead a comfortable life. He will have many friends and good relations. He will be god-fearing and honor his religious preceptors and ancestors. He will be a minister.
5th House:
Highly acclaimed children. Native likes to follow dharma and inculcates the same to future generations. Multi-talented but rash at times.
6th House:
Good position for an administrator or a minister to a king. Overcomes his enemies but does not have good relation with his family.
7th House:
Native will be well-traveled and will visit mountains, forests and watery places. He is courageous. He has good relations but will lack marital happiness.
8th House:
Long lived. Gets sudden benefits from investments. Inherits a fortune from ancestors but that could lead to legal disputes. Spouse may be good-looking but ill-tempered. Native could be an accountant, financial manager or a lawyer.

Mercury:
Natives with conjunction of Mercury and Jupiter will be highly skilled and multi-talented individuals with very high levels of intelligence. Both Buddha and Guru are planets of intellect and academics which could result in a native with this combination becoming a renowned academician or educationist or even a world-famous philosopher or a god man with a mass following. People with this combination have a flair for song, music, dance, drama and acting and may excel in such professions. The native with this conjunction in his horoscope will have a pleasing personality, be of good speech and have many merits. He will be rich, wise and intelligent and lead a comfortable life.
